Young Collins

It’s not often I get back to my alma mater, Temple University Ambler.  The campus was originally the Horticultural School for Women back in the late 1800s and through the 1960’s.  The gardens, therefore, are not only beautiful, but there’s a ton of history and culture involved.

This particular sculpture was made by my mentor, John Collins (RLA, FASLA), who was the founder of our program on the campus.   The girl is allegedly his daughter.
