Below the waterfall, the water flows fast due to the springtime thaw. But evidence that Winter has not been long past are still present.

As the waterfall to the west (not pictured) slowly brings the water-level back to normal, the ice flows recede.  This is a time of the year when extreme conditions are placed upon the worlds stage as a spectacle for all those who are looking.
